Dr. Fong is a scholar-practitioner. He is a believer in life-long learning. He has continued to pursue scholastic research and teaching activities alongside his career pursuits.

As a practitioner, Dr. Fong has worked in many different senior managerial capacities in both private and public sectors. As an entrepreneur, he is a Director of GRE Manufacturing Limited and GRE Alpha Electronics Limited, two privately owned electronics manufacturing companies. As an intrapreneur, he was the former CEO of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the former Directorate Officer of the Hong Kong government.

As a practitioner in corporate governance, he is an independent non-executive director of Hutchison Port Holdings Limited, Hong Kong Electric Investment Limited and Tom Group International Limited.

As a scholar, Dr. Fong’s scholastic journey covers both empirical science and humanistic studies. In his DBA research, he developed a 2P3C Model to understand the sustainability of corporate human capital competitiveness. In his PhD research, he created a set of tools comprising differentiators, integrators, and connectors to help us understand the patterns of self–others interaction experience among stakeholders in enterprises. They can be deployed by CEOs to support oneness as an enterprise governance approach focusing on responsible leadership, enterprise well-being, and enterprise sustainability.

Ms. Amy Yung has extensive work experience in finance and investment. Amy is the Director of Private Equity Asset Management at Gaw Capital. Prior to the current role, Amy was the Investment Director at Gaw Capital overseeing real estate opportunities in Asia Pacific. She also worked at Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research across its New York, London, and Hong Kong offices. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago and the Post-Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of Hong Kong. She has been on the board of schools, nonprofit organizations, and bursaries.

Andy Leung is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Aquanow, where he drives the company’s technology strategy and oversees the development of scalable, secure infrastructure for institutional digital-asset trading.

With more than 15 years of experience in fintech and electronic trading, Andy bridges capital markets with blockchain innovation. In addition to his role at Aquanow, Andy is deeply committed to advancing decentralized finance (DeFi) through academia. In partnership with the Blockchain@UBC research cluster, he helped establish the Aquanow DeFi Lab, a multidisciplinary program that supports industry–academic collaboration, student-led research, and the incubation of new DeFi projects. Dr. Carolyn Zhao is currently the Founder of LinkLab Innovation, the Head of Seamless Ventures Asia and the Partner of TenX2, specializing in global high tech scouting and benchmark, innovation strategy and tech startup scale-up. She has wide network of academia, tech-related government departments, high-tech parks, startup incubators / accelerators and cross-industry multinational companies. Carolyn has engaged with hundreds of global top startups in corporate-startup collaboration and steered different levels of Proof-of-Concept projects, focusing on Digital Transformation, Consumer Healthcare, New Mobility, AIOT, etc.
With over fifteen years of experience in innovation, Carolyn was the general manager of an APAC Innovation Center in China and the corporate venture capitalist in the United States for an automotive Fortune500. Prior to that, she took different research, innovation and marketing roles in the fields of telecom, home appliance, lighting and green building.

A radiologist by training, Chen Fong is currently the Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary. He is also the Co-Chair of the Global Strategy Board of the Creative Destruction Lab; a platform for mentoring of young entrepreneurs.

Chen has 18 years of experience in the building of start-up entrepreneurial companies and is the co-founder of Pureweb Inc. Current board directorships include Pureweb Inc, Clarius Mobile Health, Cohesic Inc and Innovere Medical. He is active in the community and sits on a number of philanthropic boards in healthcare.

Chen holds an MD from the University of Manitoba and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Calgary. Chiu Chau is a seasoned entrepreneur in healthcare technology with an engineering background. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he graduated from the University of Hong Kong with degrees in Mechanical Engineering (ME) and earned a Master's degree from Georgia Tech. After leaving his PhD program, he began his engineering career in the US and launched his entrepreneurial journey in the 1990s within the biotech sector, experiencing both successes and setbacks.

In 2013, he founded Opentrons, a company specializing in low-cost, open-source lab automation, initially working from his basement. Opentrons joined HAX and Y Combinator, navigated significant challenges, and ultimately achieved substantial success during the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching unicorn status before his exit. Since then, he has become an active investor and mentor while also developing a new venture in pharmacy automation.

​​Dr David Chung is a seasoned technologist, entrepreneur, and policymaker with over 30 years of experience. He is a strong advocate for impact investment. He held senior management positions in leading multinational, Hong Kong, and mainland enterprises such as Cyberport, Microsoft, and Jardine Pacific. He also led the expansion of several technology startups into international markets.

Currently, Dr Chung is the Founder and Chief Impact Officer of Impact D Limited. He previously served as the Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology Bureau of the HKSAR for two terms. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he was awarded the Iconic Star – IFTA FinTech and Innovation Award 2021/22 and was named Top CIO of Greater China by CEO/CIO magazine in 2013.

Dr Chung is actively involved in various high-level advisory committees in the academic, professional, and community arenas. He has served as a member of the Hong Kong Computer Society, IEEE Computer Society, Hong Kong Engineer Doctorate Society, and Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association. Dr. Chung holds a Doctorate in Engineering Management from City University of Hong Kong, an MBA from Metropolitan University of Hong Kong, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Computer Science from Imperial College London.

Danny Lee is an experienced investor with over 25 years of global private equity experience spanning venture, growth and buyouts. He is currently managing VCA Capital Fund I, helping individuals and family offices manage their private equity portfolio globally through both fund and direct investments.

Danny is also a senior advisor to Blue Pool Capital where he was a partner running global private equity since 2015. Before that he was a managing director at Bain Capital and Vice President at Investor AB, the largest industrial holding company in the Nordic region. He started his career with Lehman Brothers in NY. Danny has a BA in Economics from Columbia and is a CFA Charter holder.

Niles received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Mingles serves as the Chief eXploration Officer (CXO) at ParticleX, a Hong Kong-based investment firm and innovation catalyst, dedicated to early-stage technology startups. Leveraging a unique combination of extensive network, financial resources, and research expertise to expedite technological advancements and support startups in seizing global opportunities.

Prior to joining ParticleX, Mingles played a pivotal role at KPMG China as the Director of Startup and Innovation Services, where he focused on consulting services for startups and innovative businesses. With a passion for startup education, Mingles dedicated eight years to the CUHK Center for Entrepreneurship as Project Director. He was instrumental in the success of major initiatives such as the "Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge" and Google's Empowering Young Entrepreneur (EYE) Program in Hong Kong.

Mingles holds numerous board and committee positions, including the Hong Kong Business Angel Network (HKBAN), Cyberport Investors Network (CIN), DIT Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, HKITIC & HK ProServices Council under the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association (HKMHDIA). He also serves as Director and Founding Member of Social Value Hong Kong (SVHK), Vice-Chairman of FHKI's Startup Council, Vice-Chairman of the Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia (IFTA), where he is also the Chairman of the Academic and Accreditation Advisory Committee. 

Olivier Cotard is a seasoned entrepreneur and general manager, specializing in high-tech and manufacturing industries. He has managed companies, projects, and manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe and the United States. He is the Founder and Managing Director of 3C Ventures Ltd., a strategy and operations consulting firm headquartered in Hong Kong.

Mr. Cotard's career encompasses a wide spectrum of industries, ranging from startups to multinational corporations. These sectors include high-tech, internet, renewable energy, automotive, aerospace, railways, consumer goods, finance, and services.

Driven by a passion for technology-enabled innovation, Mr. Cotard was an associate at one of San Francisco's pioneering internet consulting firms in 2000. Since then, he has played an instrumental role in the development and funding of numerous innovative projects and companies. Committed to fostering growth, he serves as a mentor to several startups based in Asia and Europe.

He has been appointed as an independent expert for the European Commission, evaluating deeptech ventures seeking funding. Furthermore, Olivier Cotard is a Co-founder and serves as the Startup Competition Chair for the ATEC Asia Technology Entrepreneurship Conference. 

Perkins is the Head of Commercialisation at MTR Lab, where his expertise in innovation and strategic growth is integral to advancing smart city and sustainable technologies. At MTR Lab, a subsidiary of MTR Corporation Limited, he leads the charge in nurturing a culture of innovation, implementing strategies, and managing change, with an emphasis on proptech, smart city, rail tech, and sustainability.
His previous role as Lead of HKT Startup Business Development at AWS saw him significantly impact the startup sector in Hong Kong and Taiwan, where he forged key relationships and led innovation programs across various tech disciplines. Perkins' strategic influence extended to collaborative solutions for government innovation, startup support, and sector-wide open innovation in areas like Web3, AI, and blockchain.
Before AWS, as Head of Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Perkins was instrumental in shaping the entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering technology commercialization, and spearheading innovation initiatives. His leadership at CUHK involved cultivating partnerships with a network of stakeholders throughout Greater China and worldwide, highlighting his commitment to global entrepreneurial development.

Peter Lee is a Hong Kong based investor and founder / Chairman of Gallant Investment Partners. Over more than 15 years, Peter has grown Gallant’s investments from simple beginnings to an impressive international portfolio of private equity, venture capital and real estate opportunities.

Peter is also an active member of the alumni UBC Hong Kong Alumni Leadership Committee, providing counsel to the association and UBC to build stronger programs to support alumni in the region.

Dr. PM Lai is a co-founder of multiple ventures and a seasoned corporate executive with over 25 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary projects and business expansion in Asia.  He has accumulated rich experience in forming joint ventures and strategic partnerships with tech companies from Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, and Thailand.  He is currently the founder and CEO of Goldbox Technologies specializing in IoT platforms and unmanned systems for enabling smart city applications, and a partner at NH-Accelerator of New Horizon Capital to seek out high-potential early-stage startups. 

Dr. Lai is the former Chairman of the Hong Kong Retail Technology Industry Association and has served on the advisory committees for ICT Services in various government organizations.  Furthermore, he is widely connected with the startup ecosystem as a mentor who has advised more than 20 startups on NewRetail, FoodTech, eHealth, and ESG to help productize their ideas and raise capital for scale-up.  He holds a Doctor of Engineering from CityU HK, a Master of Science from HKU, and an MBA from Bath UK.  A Chartered Engineer and IEEE Senior Member, he holds numerous tech patents relating to fulfillment automation and multi-sensor data fusion.

Mr. Ray Wong is the Founding Partner of LuTech Labs and Asymmetry Capital. He is an early-stage investor in multiple Web3 unicorns including #1 Web3.0 game and leading DeFi platforms since 2018. In addition to his investment banking experiences at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley, Ray is also a former executive in a publicly listed environmental firm. 

Ray is a global keynote speaker at Fintech and Web3.0 conferences in North America, Europe, and Asia. As the founder of a leading Web3.0 professional community, he advises VCs and projects, including an AI pet and an RWA lending project. He is alumni of Cleantech Open Accelerator, the world's largest cleantech accelerator, and Cyberport Incubation Program. He is also mentor of Deep Tech Lab and Selection Committee member of Asia Tech Entrepreneurship Competition.

Ray obtained his MBA degree from Cornell University and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. As founding team leader, he won second runner-up out of 44 global teams at Kellogg Biotech and Healthcare Case Competition. He is currently Co-President of Johnson Club (Cornell) in Hong Kong and Board Director of Hong Kong Smart City Association. 

Raymond is the founding partner of Bioworld Ventures. He is a seasoned executive with over two decades of strategic leadership in healthcare and medical technology, specializing in business development, portfolio strategy, and regional operations.

He served as Vice President at Genesis Medtech Group (2020–2023), expanding their product portfolio in emerging markets. Prior to this, he led strategic initiatives at Zensun Sci & Tech (2019–2020), optimizing operations and advancing diagnostics. A key part of his career includes 21 years at Johnson & Johnson, where he held roles from General Manager to VP, driving growth through mergers, partnerships, and commercial strategies in China and APAC.

Earlier roles at Bayer Healthcare and GE Healthcare established his expertise in diagnostic innovation and regional leadership. Raymond combines global perspective with deep industry acumen, consistently delivering operational excellence and market expansion across the healthcare sector.

Mr. Tang, with over 35 years in the upstream energy sector, founded four E&P companies, including Deltastream Energy Corporation, which he led as President and CEO, transforming a CAD$120 million investment into a CAD$1.7 billion sale in 2022. He mentored diverse professionals throughout his career, fostering talent in the industry.

In 2023, through the Tang Family Foundation, he established a Chair in New Energy Materials and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo to advance solar fuels and technologies. In 2025, he expanded the foundation’s support to the Waterloo Data and AI Institute, focusing on integrating Large Language Models with robotics for embodied intelligence.

Mr. Tang holds an M.Sc. in Geological Sciences from the University of Manitoba, earned in 1985 with a Sigma Xi Designation for Research Excellence. His work continues to drive innovation in renewable energy and artificial intelligence

Sammi is the Founding Partner of Turbulentos Ventures, an international venture studio that focuses on innovative education, healthcare, and logistics automation, with ventures in Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, and the US.

He is the former Founding Leader of HKSTP Ventures, where he built the fund from the ground up to manage HK$1 billion in assets. During his nine-year tenure, the assets under management (AUM) at HKSTP Ventures increased twentyfold to US$130M, with half of its portfolio companies located in Silicon Valley, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UK

He is a Board Director for LuxCreo, a Chicago-based startup engaged in the development of personalized medical and dental devices

Mr. Wong serves on the Council of Advisors for the Asian Fund for Cancer Research (AFCR), associated with the esteemed National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR), where he supports its oncology-focused start-up accelerator and fundraising efforts.

He is also a member of the Sustainability Domain Advisory Panel for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Entrepreneurship Investment Fund, advising on investment strategies

His academic contributions and commitment to mentoring startups also highlight his dedication to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Stephen Chan is the Founder of SC Investments LLC. In addition to his expertise in medical devices, Stephen has been active as an angel investor, leveraging his insights to guide and support early-stage companies.

Theodore is the co-founder of CoCoon, one of the earliest and largest entrepreneurship communities in Hong Kong, with over 1,200 members and alumni. Startups that have participated in CoCoon's signature Pitch Night program have collectively raised over USD 6 billion. Among the two dozen startups CoCoon has invested in, notable ones such as Shopline and Ghost Robotics have been acquired by publicly listed companies in the U.S. and South Korea.

At MPower Technologies, strategy and analytical skills are the keystones of Theodore's role as Director, where he and his team harness the power of conversational commerce to revolutionize Asia's mobile salesforce. MPower Technologies focus is on delivering retail intelligence augmentation tools that significantly enhance brand engagement and optimize conversions.

As the Managing Director of MaBelle Jewellery, Theodore spearheaded the fusion of the brand's online presence with a robust physical retail network, crafting seamless Online-to-Offline experiences. MaBelle leveraged its strategic technology partnerships to enhance its reach, enabling rapid delivery to a global customer base and driving consistent double-digit growth in online sales.

Theodore serves on the Board of the Stanford Club of Hong Kong and the Board of the Hong Kong Applied Science & Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). Previously, he served on the HK Science & Technology Parks (HKSTP). Theodore is currently an Advisor at Our Hong Kong Foundation, a Member of the HKU Careers Advisory Board, and a Member of the HK Government's Elderly Commission.​

Prof. Wang had an impressive 30-year career driving growth, transformation, and people & organization development in esteemed companies such as IBM, DuPont & HAVI. She has been a prominent member on various global leadership boards, company Board of Directors, Global Logistics Council, Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Council. With extensive general management, P&L, and cross-functional experience, including over a decade in cross-cultural global leadership, Prof. Wang’s strategic leadership encompasses a deep understanding of global business management, cross-cultural dynamics, people & organization development, M&A, transformation & change management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as women in leadership. To pursue her passion for people, Prof. Wang transitioned out of the corporate world and now is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), assisting professionals worldwide in North America, South America, Europe & Asia, including Corporate C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, high potentials as well as women leaders.

Prof. Wang is an Associate Professor of Practice in Management with CUHK Business School. She is also an associate Executive Coach and Faculty with Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), a top-ranked global firm for Executive Education; a Diamond Mentor of Global Women Connect (GWC) for women's leadership; and a core member of the Global Talent Management Institute, an international non-profit organization focuses on nurturing global talent.
